meet the team

Kailey Smith is a theater educator and director at Camden Hills Regional High School, where she also manages the Strom Auditorium. She is passionate about creating opportunities for young people to discover their talents, build confidence, and find a sense of belonging through the performing arts.

Kailey met Preston in 2021, during her first musical at Camden Hills. Over the years, she had the joy of watching him grow as a performer, but what she remembers most isn't his extraordinary talent. It's his kindness, his quiet encouragement of others, and his unforgettable smile. Even through the most difficult moments of his illness, Preston found ways to laugh, create, and bring light to those around him.

Through Preston, Kailey found not only a remarkable student but a family and friendships she treasures deeply. She is honored to be part of the Presto Strong Project, helping carry forward the joy, compassion, and light Preston brought into the world while supporting families facing pediatric brain cancer and creating opportunities for young people to pursue their passions.
